im currently in the market for a super saloon and have come down to the new 2010 porsche panamera tt or a 08,09 s65 amg low miles. i have driven a s65 and i love the power and torque but i think its lacking in the handling department. on the other hand the porsche tt has less hp but its a newer car, i heard it handles well and ill be able to keep it a few year longer than the s65. 08 s65 are around 160k with less than 2k miles and 09 arent much worse. maybe someone on here can help me decide. both cars have great interiors imo. man i wish i could get both. anyways i was wondering if anyone on here has drivnr or happen to own both cars and what their impression was after driving both? TIA

Porsche. hands down for sure. I have driven both. S65 might feel faster, but it cant handle its speed nearly as well as the PTT

Porsche.

I was going to go with either a demo S63 or S65 and ended up ordering a Panamera 4S.

It's 5 inches shorter (almost exactly slotted in between the E and S class Benzs) which was just right for me.

The Benz can hold 3 passengers in the rear vs 2 for the Porsche. The Benz also has a much larger and secure trunk.

But there are a ton of S class Mercedes that will look exactly like your out there since 2006.

i don't think mercedes has adopted the dual clutch yet - means an old torque convertor - no comparison

the interior of the panamera is like nothing else imo

Wrong place to ask this question.

The Panamera is THE super saloon.

If you want a four door sports car get the Porsche. The MB will give you no road feedback and will not provide nearly the satisfaction of the Porsche in the performance department. The pana is exclusive for the time being, the only thing exclusive about the MB is the "5" in S65 on the badge.

please note: I do not have any appreciation for mercedes benz.

Very nice! Enjoy the GT2.

You certainly can save some bucks if you wait for a used panamera to become available.
