Pana Turbo at Texas Mile
Did 169.5 back to back. That's 170. Car might have done a touch better.
On a side note, a 997.2TT that has been flashed did 182 and change. It was a PDK. I'm certain the flash is a "work in progress" but these cars as stock are way too close. I would not be happy if I had a 911TT knowing this. Porsche needs to raise that bar more.

The TT is likely a working model. I hear that reflashing is hard. It was an Evoms car so it likely will "get there" soon.

Very true. Good point. There aren't 5 cars produced that can post that number. Pana does it in 3.3. Not bad either.

Good to see that he put the stock wheels back on. I dont think those three piece 22s would do him any favors. The Pana T is a very fast car and makes the 996TT look slow in a strait line. I pulled an 11.8 @115 in poor conditions and the car was happy as can be.

LOL. That is funny. Yes, they were making jokes about where all the groceries were. I had to turn down the radio to hear the guys. I told em I would make a run with the A/C going if the lines would subside. Didn't get a chance.
I have run my GT2. 192 is my speed. Quite different in that car. The Pana is an automatic. Just floor it and wave at the paddock.
Those wheels in the picture were loaners. From Park Place. I took off the 22's because I didn't want to damage $10k worth of tires/ wheels, plus these are the lightest Porsche makes. It added some MPH. Did 166 in 22's, and 170 in the others.

But now that I look at it again, I realize that the 997TT was doing 12mph faster at the finish, not 2. Not sure where my head was when I first read it, but I was thinking the speeds were almost equivalent...just took over 24 hours to 'wake up'.
Either way...that's MOOVIN. Must have been a blast.

-Did you use launch control on any of your starts?
-Also, would be curious if you could disable the rear wing for special events like this. That extra downforce is not as relevant when going in a strait line.

Very nice runs. Glad to see the Panamera out there showing its stuff. Way to represent. Congratulations!

I wish I could have disabled. I leave the spoiler deployed 24/7. Car looks odd without it. Actually, I have never seen it down. There is probably an override, but don't know where. It would have got me to 180 positive without the spoiler. No doubt.

I did LC on the first run. Doesn't help. I've done LC in my GT2. Doesn't help. You would think it helped. No clue why.

I would assume that a pulled fuse or plug while the wing is down would keep it from going up and I am sure it would be good for at least 186mph
