PDCC. Can I live without it?
PDCC. Can I live without it?
Hi guys,
I am looking at a 2010 Pana 4s. Its white on blk full leather, sport chrono plus, sport exhaust, air suspension... All the options that I would have ordered. HOWEVER, it is lacking for one option that I really like, the PDCC. I really like to drive a car which can give me so much confidence on corning. Do you guys know if there's any way to make the car feel like it has PDCC aftermarket? Like sway bars or anything?
Someone please chime in if they have driven both cars with and without PDCC back to back. What's the main difference in terms of driving feel?
Thx in advance!!
Cheers,

PDCC, Air suspension, Sport Chrono, Sport Exhaust. Must haves. I have seen several dealer-ordered cars with various mixes of these on the lot, but few with all.
Hard to describe the difference but PDCC is part of the overall performance package and the car certainly doesnt feel as sharp without it.

I've owned both. Get the PDCC. And get the Turbo if you can swing it.
Personally, I have to respectfully disagree with the poster who said Sport Exhaust is a "must have". If you want to spend some Benjamin's on acoustics get the Burmester sound system not the Sport Exhaust.
With that said, if you're gonna drop $100 to $150 large on an automobile, you should get *every* frigging thing that you want whether it contributes to the car's performance or not. At that price level "in for a penny, in for a pound" is the way I see it. That's my $0.02.
Apologies for the mixed currency metaphors.

completely agree with this poster. get the Turbo with all performance-related options.

As the 4s that I test drove yesterday, even though it didn't have PDCC, i still think it performed/corning so well in terms of a 4dr sedan. I really like white and this car doesn't have pdcc that what makes me struggle. This 4s costs $136000 CAD, but the dealer also has a BLACK panamera turbo coming in with so many options like PDCC, turbo sport chrono plus, sport exhuast, burmester, 4zone climate control ....etc.
I have a 997TT which is in blk, that's why I don't want another blk car. another reason is that this blk pana TT costs $185000 CAD.! which is like 50000 difference between the two.
Now I don't know if I should order a car that fits me, but I don't wanna wait...
Thx again!

I just bought a 2010 White Panamera TT last week. Mine doesnt have PDCC but it does have the Sports Chrono option which includes a feature to stiffen the ride and lower the car a couple of inches. I always drive day to day around town with the most agressive suspension setting. In my opinion, the car handles great without the PDCC (enough for my needs that is - and I do toss around the car a bit). As a matter of fact I have been raving to many freinds over the last week about how well the Panamera handles and believe it or not........until I saw this thread, I completely forgot about the PDCC option.
I own a 997tt with some suspension work and comparing the two back and forth, I am completely satisfied with the panamera's handling.
If you cant wait, go for it. If you are a die hard fan of handling, then wait it out.

Big congrats on the Panamera, Keith! Can't wait till you get the mod bug on this one. Nice to hear you really like the car as well given you other rides.
i had cayennes with and w/o PDCC - it is not a deal maker imo. these are all pretty flat machines in the 1st place.
i would put adaptive sport seats ahead of pdcc - the extra grip afforded by their bolstering will do more around a hard corner than pdcc

Do not buy without PDCC, Air suspension and Sport Chrono. Save your benjis on the Sport Exhaust. dave
