Spacer widths with 20" Turbo wheels
Spacer widths with 20" Turbo wheels
Wondering if any of you or in any of our sponsors know what spacers can be safely run with the 20" turbo wheels on my Panny. Would like to reduce the fender overhang as much as possible without rubbing.
Any advice greatly appreciated

I have 7mm on my rears (same TurboII wheels) and they are flush with the edge of the fender. I wouldn't go any more than that. Considering adding 5mm to the front, just haven't decided. Porsche only recommends up to 5mm on the rear, nothing on the front...
Yes, the 7mm spacers require longer bolts. I believe I ordered 40mm bolts for the 7mm spacers, and 45mm bolts for the 14mm spacers (these were originally installed on my 911).

Sweet garage! I like the posters.
the set you are selling, are they oem?
Looks great, just curious, what can potentially go wrong with this setup assuming the quality of the spacer is good ( rss for example) Will it change the characteristic of the handling or increase the likelihood of vibrations to the wheels? The Sport Design 20's from porsche is 11.5 in width, which is .5 iches wider the Turbo II's, that is about 13 mm, why would a 15 mm not fit properly?
I love the wider stand and dont think 5-7mm will make a difference visually?

I not an expert or have any technical information on the topic, but when I ordered my car I noticed that with the 19's you could choose an option for a 5mm spacer when you built the car. Once you chose the Sport Design 20" wheels, the spacer was no longer an option.

You also have the option for the 5mm spacer when you choose 20" turbo 2, the width difference between turbo 2 and sport design is .5inches, which is about 13mm, does that mean you can fit 15mm to the turbo 2s? (i cant see 2mm do any damage)
Purchased a set of H&R 14mm from a fellow 6speeder. Thinking about putting them on for the back and leave the front stock. Besides the look, will this change the handling characteristic with this set up? The technician from my dealer recommends not to put ANY spacers as it might change the geometry of the car. What do you guys think?
