2010 Panamera Turbo new vs used?

Ok, I've decided to move from my 2008 CL63 and 2010 Porsche C4S to a Panamera Turbo.

Question...

I started looking for a 2010 with <5k miles on it. Figure they are running 110-120k now.

The other option is to get it new as 2010's are still on dealer lots. I'm assuming I could get some pretty good discounts on those and still take advantage of the 1.9% financing vs 4+% on a used 2010. But in the end, even with good discounting I'm guessing a new 2010 will still come in 20K more than a slightly used one..right?

So... what would you do...

I think you can buy a 2010 Turbo now easily in the 120's.

Personally I would take the cheapest car provided there is more than about a 5k difference.

If you can get the optionas and color you are happy with then you should just grab the used Turbo. I wish I did that instead of a new P4S.

Is my math right?

Assuming a $160k MSRP 2010:

Used price: 120k
Used finance rate: 4%

New price: 136k (assume 15% discount?)
New finance rate: 1.9%

Difference in monthly payment is about $225/month.

Does that sound right?

Could I expect to get a 15% discount on 2010s new?

I have seen new turbos from dealers selling in the low 120's. You may need to adjust the above numbers down a bit.

Used car rates @ 4%? What kind of term are you looking at? 1.9% is usually a pretty short term....

60 months. 1.9% is 60 months through Porsche Financing on select new cars (not for Cayenne for example).

4% is 60 month used car Bank of America rate although I just spoke to a local dealer who specializes in high end cars and told me he can get 3.5% on a pre-owned cars. Most of his pre-owned cars are <6k miles so maybe banks make exceptions.

Don't disagree but the Turbos at dealerships range from $130k to $160k. The car how I want it optioned would be closer to $160k. I'm guessing the ones you are seeing in the low $120's are optioned around $135k MSRP.

I dont know about the turbos but new (not demo) 2010 4S's that are optioned correctly are very hard to find...every one i looked at was missing one of my "must have" options. eventually i did buy my car and got 16% off plus the 1.9% financing...the 1.9% financing is pretty big if you assume a 100k loan value/purchase price and a 4% mkt interest rate (what BofA quoted me) then its worth $5k in total savings over the life of the loan.
