Long time customer of ours just picked up a stunning black 2011 Panamera Turbo. Came to us to make sure the vehicle is fully protected with clear bra (clear guard) from rock chips, vandalism, etc. Essentially every panel on this vehicle is wrapped to protect this daily driven Porsche. How easy or difficult is this to remove after a couple of years?

If the car's been kept in a hot climate does this cause any bonding with the paint or paint damage due to removal after 2-3 years?

For the edges, do you wrap the film on the inside/behind the panel or cut it off at the edges?

I had my Turbo done locally. It came out perfect can't even tell its on. They wrapped the edeges behind all panels. only thing I didn't have done is Roof.

Total cost for me was $3100. I recently had a tiny ding and it scuffed the Clearbra. Once scuffed the clear bra scuff cant be removed. The ding guy removed the ding perfectly. But had to have the clearbra on that door replaced. the guys did it for free. Ding guy charged $50.

I guess the clearbra protected the paint. But it will need to replaced if it happens to you.

Why oh Why would you take a car, beautifully painted in baked hard acrylic paint, and wrap it in soft plastic cover that dulls and scratches easily? I need to understand this - doesnt make sense to me.

majority of people do it to protect their paint primarily from rock chips. I rather replace the film then repaint the panel and if you find the right installer you wouldn't be able to tell that its even wrapped.
