Panamera vs Maserati QP (was it a consideration)
Just curious,
With so many cars available at this price range, and if you are able to get a Panamera, than I would image that you were able to afford a lot of options including the following:
Mercedes s
Mercedes cl
Maserati QP
Maserati GT
so what was the factors that made you choose the Panni ???
I am considering getting a 2009 maserati QP - GTS but I have heard ONLY bad things about the car. I currently have a ferrari 360 and would image that the maserati would be sim in regards to maint. and other silly things that happen to her. BUT the difference is that the ferrari is NOT a daily driver. My wife thinks I am crazy to consider a maserati.
did any of you consider a QP ???
My wife drives a 2007 s550 sport and we love the car, no issues and one of the best values IMHO, we purchased a CPO car in 09 and have enjoyed the car. It has plenty of room for the car pool lane to transport the girls (7 and 4)

QP looks nice, but it really is a lame duck compared to the Pana.

I think part of the allure of the Panamera is actually in the driving - got our 2011 S 2 weeks ago and it drives wonderful!! I think other Panny owners would attest to the same. Ours isn't even the Turbo...
new Ptt owner
I took delivery of my 2011 Ptt last week and think this thing is incredible! I have had several high end cars ( Porsche 911 4S , multiple cayenne turbos,BMW M6, audi S6, and range rovers) but nothing like this , that is both fun and a practical daily driver ( 4 wheel drive). I don't think you will be sorry if you go with the panamera. Good luck.
I traded an '09 QP for a '10 Panamera S. I am very happy with the move. The QP is a gorgeous car outside and in. The techno equipment is not nearly up to par with the Panny. The engine (and sound!!) in the Maser is truly magical. Nevertheless, the driving experience of the Panamera surpasses the Maser by light years. The Maser was comfortable but the Porsche is better. The infotainment system is truly outstanding. The Maser GT is a beautiful machine too. I understand you have a non-DD F-car (me too), but if you don't need 4 doors, the GT would be an excellent DD, especially with the recently upgraded infotainment system. The Panamera is very practical with the extraordinary rear seat room and the spacious trunk. I am extremely satisfied with my Panny and yearn for nothing (gasp!)
