Panamera Turbo Owners - GIAC Software- Special

As a leading partner to GIAC we are pleased to announce the release of the GIAC Panamera Turbo Software.

The Panamera Turbo will yield an increase of 60 hp and 55 ft lbs of torque with NO hardware on 91 octane fuel, throttle response and drive ability is considerably improved as well.

GIAC's entry level stage 1 software package includes the 91 octane performance file along with the handheld switcher and stock file so you can switch programs at your convenience.

All flashes done at GMG will receive a free dyno before and after and no charge for labor to do the flash.

Mail order customers will receive additional discounts valued at the cost of the dyno and labor.

We are also developing an exhaust system for the car and larger intercoolers.

Please email me directly to schedule your appointment today.

If you have hardware installed and are looking for a custom tune we can do a custom calibration working with GIAC.

Great to hear that GIAC is finally coming through with some goodies for these beasts.

Quick question though, 60HP sounds pretty conservative when the piggyback units with lesser maps to access is proving to be around 80HP on sport mode.

Is this 60HP on normal mode or on sport, or it simply dont matter? Maybe the piggyback unit is rated at 93 octane?

I was expecting more like close to 100 due to the "vast" amount of parameters that a flash can access, or maybe they are being ultra cautious and improve from there? Or is there a stage 2 with more power.

So many inquiries I know, but I was waiting for GIAC to bring this out before I made a decision of where to go, so pardon my stupid questions.

Additional question: Are u gonna offer 93 octane maps as well?
Thanks!!

If mail order, is this something that can be installed by a novice?

To answer a few questions:

1. The numbers quoted are based on a completely stock car with 91 octane tune.

2. 93 octane will make more power as will 100 octane

3. Additional hardware such as sport exhaust, intercoolers etc will increase performance.

4. Mail order customers can remove ECU's and reinstall themselves. Not difficult some care needs to be taken. Having a shop or dealer do the R&R is not a bad idea if you are not comfortable in doing it yourself.

Lastly, I want to reiterate that GIAC has been the leader in software tuning for many years and that's why we choose to stick with them in developing our own performance packages. Its important to point out that the performance gains quoted are realistic hp numbers that can be achieved with out any issues or excuses. I have personally experienced some of these piggy back ecu upgrades and can honestly say the results aren't the greatest particularly when there is always.. some excuse why the car does something it shouldn't.. With the GIAC software there is no wiring, no piggy back system, its a proper reflash of the ecu with real switching capabilities.. No compromises - reliable -driveable everyday with no headaches, no excuses.

One thing we have never subscribed to is the internet dyno wars, we look for reliability, drive ability, performance that last without compromise and with the GIAC Panamera Turbo software we feel we have a product that exceeds expectations.

If you need more info please feel free to email me directly.

• Improved wheel horsepower and torque gains at 58 hp & 55 ft lbs of torque with factory intercoolers and exhaust, on 91 octane fuel. Estimated Crank horsepower and torque gains are 73 hp and 88 ft./lbs of torque.

• Estimated crank gains as high as 83 horsepower and 95 ft. /lbs. of torque in some areas of the power band.

• Properly recalibrated Air/Fuel Ratios.

• Improved throttle response for a drive-by-cable system feel.

• Raised speed limiters to factory redline in final drive gear (Factory speed limiters on Turbo and Turbo S are approximately 190-192mph, Porsche Power kit software raises the speed limiter to 196mph).

• Included stock mode and GIAC Handheld Program Switcher with purchase.

The one attractive feature (to me) of the piggy back setup is that it can be dismounted easily before taking the car in to the dealer for service.

I have several questions about the GIAC's ECU re-programming and what I can expect from ownership:

1: With obvious potential implications to warranty - is it detectable by the dealer?
2: If the dealer has to re-flash for a factory update, what is the process to re-incorporate the GIAC tune?
3: Is there cost for each occurrence?
4: Is there a long term monitoring of factory updates so that firmware updates to the tune can be provided (if necessary)?

Thank you.
