weird problem with 4S

I have noticed water coming out of the air conditioning vents. Only happens with AC running. yesterday, when I hit the gas to merge, it came rushing out onto my leg and scared the crap out of me. Is this just condensation? Is this a real problem? The AC seems to work fine otherwise and is plenty cold. car is otherwise running well.

Not normal - is the water dripping onto the ground when your ac is on and your parked? If not that could be an indicator that the a/c's condensation drain is plugged.

Head to the dealer

on my car they fixed some kind of ac drainage recall. Dont know what they did, had no problem. What you are experiencing is not normal.

problem solved

The tubes that drain the condensation from the AC are routed in such as way as to predispose to kinking and plugging. The water backs up and comes into the car. There is a recent recall on these I was told today at the dealer. They simply re-route the drainage hoses, problem solved. Less than 30 minutes.
This is similar to an earler recall to re route the drainage hoses that collect rain water from the base of the front windshield. Funny how the hi-tech stuff works great while the simple drain hoses are problematic.
