Adaptive Cruise Control and Escort 9500ci

I realize this has been discussed some before, but I'm hoping to find someone with this combination to see if it works properly...I've heard there can be interference between the adaptive cruise control and built-in radar detectors. I bought a Panamera 4S last summer, it has the thermal glass that won't work with my previous Escort S2. My Porsche dealer has recommended an installer for the Escort 9500ci, but does not know if it will work properly with my adaptive cruise control. The installer says it will, but I certainly don't want to give up my car for two days, have it shredded, and spend over $3k just to find out it does not work right!

I'd be most appreciative to hear from anyone who has this combination to see if there are any problems. Btw, I've also read negative comments about the adaptive cruise control; personally, I love it...fantastic feature!

Did you ever resolve this? I have (and love) my adaptive cruise but haven't pursued a detector because of it.

Unfortunately, no. I've heard mixed opinions as to whether the adaptive cruise will interfere with radar detectors. I just can't see spending the money without hearing from someone who has the setup I'd like and can assure me that it works.

Anybody?

Oh, and I like the adaptive cruise so much that if it was between it and a radar detector, I'd take it!

Dealer? PCNA? Factory?

Your dealer should have the answer. There is a technical bulletin talking about radar detector placement in vehicles with the thermal insulated glass (both for Panamera and Cayenne).

PCNA should have the answer also.

Ultimately, the factory should resolve this for you.

Cheers, JohnnyB
