Hello everybody, my name is Louis, I owned a panamera diesel platinum 2013version.Recently I had an really confusing and annoying sounds that bothered me a lot. When i drive it on the highway about 80miles /120km. The rattling sound which sounds like glass vibration from the A pillar. The dealer can't really figure it out. Can anyone tell me whats wrong with it

I have/ad two rattling sounds but they rarely happened at the same time - one would come on in warmer weather and the other is colder weather.

The one I had in colder weather seemed to come from the steering column. The dealer fixed this - said it was a loose airbag wire they wrapped with felt. I actually had this problem in another Porsche with a similar steering wheel that was solved the same way.

In warmer weather I have a rattle that seems to be coming from the forward part of the driver side door (by the dash vent). Dealer has not solved this yet and I have no idea what could be causing this.

You might want to check the headlining - I have a 2011 Turbo and the lining had pretty much became detached at the edges where the lining meets the door. All the clips were replaced and it was much improved. Still some rattling near the sunroof/lighting console. A bit frustrating but I've learned to live with it.

Interestingly enough, the dealer did notice that an alcantara trim piece was coming loose and ordered me a new one - I didn't think that had any impact, but perhaps it does!

One thing I would recommend with this car if you have the time, is to sound deaden the doors and put some insulation between the various plastic parts. I found that my door grills and the door cards were a source of rattles. As I plan to upgrade the sound system in the near future, I'll be pulling part the doors and going through this thoroughly.

Sounds odd but check your jack pads. Mine rattled.

Hi Louis, did you get a fix on this? As I have the exavt same problem at 75mph on the highway. Sounds like rain hitting the glass/dash area but its not raining haha. Driving me wild to try and fix it

I thought I'd post about a door rattle that I had on my new (to me) 2010 Panamera Turbo. Started off hearing a rattle in the driver side front door, usually over road bumps. Got increasingly worse, and I'd hear it even over slight bumps at low to medium speeds. I decided to remove the door panel to see what was loose inside. After some troubleshooting (read hitting the now naked door and removed door panel to induce the rattle), I found out that the power window switch assembly was loose, and wouldn't clip solidly to the door panel anymore. I installed the loop side of some industrial-grade velcro in thin strips on both long sides of the switch opening, and now the switch has something a little meatier to grab onto when placed back in the hole. Not sure if it's clipping solidly, but it's not moving and there definitely no rattle. Buttoned everything up, and now quiet as a church mouse. I'm very happy with the result, and the irritation is gone!
