My car will come to Port of San Diego for PPI, yours will probably go to east coast for PPI. So most likely different ships. My guess is yours will arrive first! Not sure where they go New Jersey or South Carolina for Eastern PPI.

Regarding tracking, all of the information is there - just like BMW. However, you unfortunately need your dealer to log in to the system and give you the status codes. I got updates every few days and was also given the name of the ship once it was loaded (Camelia Ace).

My PGTS just arrived! Leap day surprise, it showed up at the dealer on 2/29. Will be picking up later today.

Got email from dealer last night -
So the car was just put on a boat 2/28.... the boat is showing it is estimated to land in san diego about 4/1 i will watch it as it gets closer... depending on the weather sometimes they lands a few days earlier... the vessel name is Green Bay....
Now the wait and the decision is soon to be upon me - take the GTS or the Turbo ordered for me to similar specs about 3 weeks later???? Decision - Decisons
Now will have to look for the website I used to have to track the boats headed for port in San Diego.

Found the Ship Tracker:
link: http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/search.phtml
Get your ship name from the dealer
click on ship tracker by name - type in name - hit search
Your ships last reported GPS coordinates and a dot in the of where that is in the ocean will show up.
You can track progress if you want - might make you go crazy though.
My GTS is on the Green Bay in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on its way to the Panama Canal so it can drop the car off in San Diego end of the month. Then PPI - the dealer - so I would expect around 4/3- 4/7 to see it at the dealer.

If mine left at the same time, I'm thinking it should be at port in a few days...
