Quote: I do have PDCC.

The only thing is that I did not have a E55, all the other cars yes. You mean taste or waste of money? Hard to say.

I was on the M5board before and now that I see your avatar on it, now I know who you are, I always wondered what a Porsche guy was posting on a BMW and hating on the M. Yes, you did sometimes

I just can't get over the fact the Merc was so close... I guess I'll have my friend race me. We did go to a quarter mile event not long ago and his has exhaust and PP, and he was only doing 12's mids and lows, while my numbers were on the 11.7, 11.8. This is why I do not know whats up.
Yes, waste or tase is a matter of who you ask...

Funny thing is that I dont hate the M5, I only hung around there because I was seriuosly thinking about the F10 M5 when there was a rumor that it would have awd and I kind of like how it looks. It has the same power and is cheaper and for me the total stealth car, not to mention 5 seats. It just seems that if you own a Porsche, you may say nothing about a BMW . I am going to test drive it anyway as the P-car gets a little too much unwanted attention, but I would need a lot of convincing as I am happy with the car otherwise...

Remember that because of the traction, no sedan comes even close in the quarter mile. Thats why you beat the crap out of him, but when driving from 50km/h- you totally take away the PTT/S:s advantage.

Convincing? It will take my wife and kid hostage for me to switch.

Sell out...

Great cars all of them, no matter which one you pick, they all offer uptodate performance, looks and safety... But you do pay more for the P...

Its just that I have no idea where to go next after this car, maybe the Pajun?

Back to the topic:

f you look at the magazine comparisons on the same day with similar runs, its obvious it was going to be tight so I think these videos confirm that, but how a non PP CLS63 car hung with these cars, I dont understand. Based on this I wouldnt take the PP... :dunno:

I still like the looks of the P-car more and the exclusivity, that plus the close performance makes it a winner in my book.[/QUOTE]

I am coming from an E60 M5 like yourself and between the new M and the PTT I would pick the Panny hands down. I would hardly call the Panny exclusive however. Not all are turbos but there seems to be a ton of Panny's out there. I saw six yesterday on my 12 minute commute home.

That's one of the advantages of living in Ohio - don't see too many Panny's. I agree with your pick of the Panny over the new M5 for sure.

Just a word of caution though - if you're talking PTTS vs M5 I would agree the straight-line performance is close, and the PTT will be quicker from a stop up to a point. But the PTT will get a serious butt-kicking against the F10 M5 in a straight-line race from a roll.

Truble, I see 100 BMW 5 series going to work everyday on my 25 minute commute, each way. While I see 4 Porsche's any kind one of those is mine. That is what I refer to exclusive, more than the BMW series I should've pointed out

I do see quite a few Panamera's but the ratio to BMW's is waaaaay more.

How much difference is there from a TTS to the plain ol' TT? Has anyone ever compared them 2? I would love to know. Has any members raced a TT vs TTS?

I don't care about the regular 5 series. I see too many to count every day. I'm talking about PTT vs. M5. I rarely see an E60 M5 and have yet to see a new M5 on the road - not ever sure if they are out yet in the US. I see quite a few PTT's on a daily basis. That was my only point.

Given the price point I think that speaks volumes for Porsche, in a good way.

If I see 1 PTT a week down here it's way too much, I even see more E60's than PTT's, this was my point.

The F10 is not available yet in the US, it is somehow available out of the places in Canada, them canucks got us on this one.

I would say accelerationwise they are pretty even until 100 km/h, the PTT allready has max launch, I think the PTTS cant get its power down as effectively, but then its all PTTS.

For me to powerkit the car was that I hate turbo lag, I really started to hate it in my 997.1tt, it was mash the throttle...nothing....nothing...then horrible acceleration, but sometimes it was all over before the power arrived. The powerkit deletes the turbo lag almost totally.

On the track, the PTTS is in its own league.

Here is a thread with the complete article, which you missed it seems:

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-ptt-scan.html

As long as we are on the subject, the PTT w/powerkit still has posted the fastest acceleration figures of any Panamera. I wonder if it has something to do with the LSD that is now replaced with an electric LSD and PTV...

0-100 3.6, 0-200 11.8 1/4 mile 11.53
