Ordered Pana GTS, June allocation / July delivery
First-time poster
Well after year of behaving, I've taken the plunge and ordered the dream car (at least given that family hauling is necessary occasionally).
I will post order details if there's interest.

Shopping process:
I cross-shopped everything from 911, BMW Ms, AMGs to Audi RS5 (and recent S6/S7), GTR.
After weighing pros/cons, for me it came down to comfortable seating for at least 4, all-weather capability and take your breath away performance.
I have a 2003 RS6, which is biturbo...i came to prefer the feel and instant response of the GTS versus other turbos I was testing.

What I find interesting is the existence of the 4S at this point. The GTS is close enough in price and offers better performance. Certainly, if you were to forego some of the performance options, the 4S is less expensive and more luxury oriented, but if luxury is your end-game, isn't the A8 a better choice?
From a performance standpoint, the 4S is certainly more of a performer than the A8, but I just can't see anyone who is considering a 4S being able to shy away from the GTS. Will be interesting to see what happens to the 4S sales numbers now that the GTS is released.

Yeah, the 4S was the dream car until the GTS came along. Not sure how popular the 4S will be either now. Nice to have so many options as a buyer and apparently Porsche/VW have found a way to do it profitably as well.

After I decided to go for more than the 4S, I drove both the GTS and a used, loaded turbo. I believe the GTS will satisfy me better: new v used, instant response of naturally aspirated engine, sporty set-up, and the sound.
See what your pref is after you drive them.

Honestly, I would NOT get the ceramic brakes. Absolutely no benefit on the street, other than brake dust, and lots of disadvantages. With the money you save, you can get the Burmeister and a proper set of winter tires and rims. MUCH better car then.

It sends 100% of the power to the rear unless you are losing traction, why would you want to drop the AWD???
