yes, very "cool" roadtrip and looks like the PTTS is a (expensive) super car
years ago, as a young lad, we camped in Yosemite (Sequoia and others too) - there was a nightly activity put on my the Rangers - called "Fire Fall" - a large bondfire was built atop one of the cliffs then at twilight a Caterpillar (couldn't see it) would push the burning embers over the edge for everyone in the valley below to see - absolutely beautiful - has stopped since (perhaps too great a risk of Forest Fire..)
the video : when the Presenter was pushing the top speed on the Dry Lake Bed, why didn't he take it to the limit ? and a BLUE car - why do BMW and Porsche insist on giving demo cars out in that color (no offense to blue car owners but I personally hate that shade of blue) ?
also caught the comment about BMW's 10 cyl M cars being "oil burners"..... guess my car has been the exception - '08 M5 - bought in Scottsdale, Az, drove home to Houston (about 1200mi), then from home to Calif and back (3200mi) and it didn't burn any oil. (after an oil change, just because) home on a very circuitous route to Calif and back (6000+) miles without burning any oil. I have added 2-3 oz of oil subsequent to those trips but just finished another roadtrip of 1200-1400mil with, again, no oil burn.....

I think the aqua blue is awesome and it's a shame they no longer offer it. I was looking at trading my black PTT on one. For those who need a practical daily driver and want performance & style the PTT can't be beat.

The car that top gear usa used was green and had the base wheels. It didnt look very sporty. True that PNA hasnt chosen the best colors for their demo cars in reviews.
I believe the dry lake bed is a difficult surface to run on, the car constantly pulls from side to side and also the sand/salt destroys the paint work. He also said about bumps, so might have thought dangerous to continue. There was a nice episode on the original top gear, where they drove american muscle cars on a dry lake at Bonneville, where you could see how difficult it is to drive on it and reach high speeds, have no experience myself...
