Panamera Wagon Concept
Panamera Wagon Concept
Porsche will bring a Panamera Wagon Concept to the 2012 Paris Motor Show which will begin on the 27th of September. If it gets the green light for production, the car will be released in 2016 and it is expected to be a more versatile version of the current Panamera. It will provide more cargo room than the existing model. The Porsche Panamera Wagon concept started its life as a simple rumor a couple of days ago, but now the model is being highlighted by the German based automaker. For now Porsche says the Panamera Wagon will be released in concept form.
The new model will be based on the second generation of the Panamera and its major competitor will be the Mercedes Benz CLS. It will feature split-folding rear seats, an extended roofline and an angled tailgate. According to sources, the decision of whether to put the car into production will be based on received feedback and the potential of the vehicle in some markets, especially Europe. If there will be a production version of this model, it will feature a standard wheelbase. But for some markets, Porsche might consider launching a long-wheelbase model, especially for countries like China where LWB cars are popular.
The second generation of the Porsche Panamera is already under development and it will share some of its features with upcoming Bentley models. The second-gen Panamera will probably get Bentley’s new V8 4.0-L twin-turbocharged gasoline engine. Also, the German automaker is considering coupe and cabrio versions of the Panamera that will be based on a short-wheelbase configuration that will probably be used for the new Bentley Continental GT and GTC models. Further detaisl will be released at the Paris Motor Show next month.

This is the problem with future Porsche. If the turbo models will have the same engine as an equivallent Audi, no way would I buy it over an Audi avant and pay more. When I bought the PTT, no competition had anything even close, just those rediculous v10 engines with no real world usability. This was allready why I bought the Audi q5 3.0tdi over the cayenne, I thought it was better looking, faster and more frugal and exactly the same engine.
Looks a really expensive magnum... The panny is huge as it is, I would like to see it in person before my final vote.

But this doesnt...
Compare these two, if they have the same engine, Ill go for the Audi. And the RS models look even cooler. Even the old RS6 looks better:

You mean like this "beutiful" bentley? Bentleys now also have the same engines. Soon Lamborgini will be the only sportscarcompany in the WV organization. They were even let to keep their unreliability.
However, this Panamera feels so wrong I get chills even thinking about it..
