Base Pan with Turbo Spoiler?

I just recently joined the Porsche family and LOVE the Panamera. Unfortunately, I could only afford the base V6 and wanted to know if it's possible to adapt the Turbo spoiler that goes up and then out wide on the my base Pan?

Btw...I got a 2012 Black Pan with Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear Camera, Rear heat/cooled seats, Rear shades, Bose, XM. Tint and color match side markers going on this Friday. Ordered 22" Vertini Magics last week. Still looking for a good deal on H&R lowering springs. Can't wait!

The way you describe it sounds like your car looks very nice. I don't know the answer to your question regaridng the rear spoiler...I am assuming that yours is the same spoiler as my 4S, which is the non-wing version. A question, why would you want to lower your Pana? Doesn't yours have the adaptive suspension?

You can swap out to the turbo spoiler, but it will be seriously expensive. You'll need the new spoiler itself, plus the control modules, harnesses, etc... plus a tech to install it all who hopefully knows what he is doing.

This could easily cost over $10K.

The air suspension was the one thing I really wanted that wasn't included. They didn't have any base models w/that suspension. Once I get the wheels mounted I'm going to see how bad the wheel gap is. I just don't want to drive around looking like a Cayenne...haha.

Axxlrod....that's not what I wanted to hear....*tear* Thanks though.

The Turbo wing is software controlled, I don't think your dealer will update that for you.

So if I can find someone to update that software...it should just be a wing replacement?

Don't let it bother you. Once you get the wheels and drop, you'll look at the car and smile from ear to ear.

You also can consider a fixed spoiler. Are they available?

I think your best bet is to see if your dealer will do it for you, and at what cost.

There was a guy who did it before. Turned out you had to run a bunch of wires from the front and then getting the wing reprogrammed to open at speed. He strongly suggested to everyone not to do it because his car ended up at the dealership for weeks and he broke the wing (but got the dealer to replace it for free) when the wing came down at slow speed but didn't fold.

Get an aftermarket wing. It's a better cheaper safer option.

I concur. I agree that the GTS/Turbo wing is elegant and almost qualifies as art, but if it's not already part of your car's existing DNA the results of a retrofit could be disastrous not to mention rather expensive. Just like it is a fact that truly beautiful girls really don't need makeup to look better, that wing is more for your satisfaction than your Pana's good looks.

But really pretty girls look even better WITH makeup...haha. Yeah, I was warned that if the wing isn't installed correctly at high speeds it could potentially rip off also...ugh. Thanks for your help guys. I just need to work more to afford a car like the Turbo...in the mean time, I'll live vicariously through you all!

Does anyone know if the Durametric software tool can reprogram the Panamera module to a turbo spoiler? If so, this would make the retrofit more user-friendly.

I found out in China they have worked out a way to retrofit a turbo spoiler on the lower models, costs below US$3000, and since they modified the mechanism of the oem turbo spoiler, the installation doesn't require a reprogramming, here is a link to the video (notice it's a Panamer 4):

FYI. I ain't the shop, I'm also looking into the possibility of this and planning on driving to a shop also provides this and located closer down south near Hong Kong.
