Has anyone noticed the spinning noise coming from the cd player when inserting a CD? After listening to a CD, the noise doesnt stop when shutting the car off either unless I switch it back to the tuner. I guess this car is so quite inside that I can actually distinctly hear the CD spinning. Or maybe the CD drive in the PCM unit is going bad?

 

I wouldn't think you would be able to hear it, but it's a possibility. I would have it checked out.

 

Yeah.I thought it was something else too. I have been listening intently because of the whistling and air vent noise. Thought it was the vent noise at first but then I heard it even with the car off. Figured out it was coming from the com only when a CD was in.

 

I have the Burmester and was shocked how noisy the CD is. Try it sitting in garage with engine off. Obsurd IMHO.

Was going to have dealer check it out, but haven't had a chance.
