Panamera turbo service question

Hey Guys

The change oil light came on in my 2010PTT yesterday. The other services in the menu's are like 7200 and 9600 miles away ( partial/full maintenance I think is what they call them). I called my local north shore IL dealer and asked how much for an oil change and they said, we do not do just oil change, you mean your yearly service? I said no, just an oil change. We went back and forth like who's on first. He quoted me $590 for an oil change/new filter/ new cabin filter/ grease lube back to factory requirements. I have owned many a high line, but my questions are these.
1) What is your dealer charging other forum members for this same service?
b) Does your dealer just change oil? Or do they force you to do the full yearly maintenance?

He said they could "just" change oil, but they would NOT reset the change oil indicator in the settings. That makes me think they are locking me into something here.

Anyways, thoughts and feedback please.....while I would love to support my local dealership, for fluid changes I have a hard time swallowing $600 for a yearly service.

She's a 2010 with 30K miles.

Why not get your oil changed at an independent? That's what I do.

well thats what I was thinking....but wanted to see if any other members know what special services are done and if it was worth the money.
I have a terrific indy, that I am sure would do a full synthetic change and the service for sub $200.
Is there anyway to reset the message?

This is an uneducated response, but as a 911 owner, ( I'm contemplating buying a Panamera) , when the oil light goes on you just top up the oil. An oil service is only done on an annual basis (with low mileage).
It seems that a 911 is the only car I know that requires frequent top ups of oil. (strange to me).
Anyway, is that the same case for Panameras? Do you Panny owners have to top up your oil now and then as with a 911?

My dealer down here charged me $199 plus tax for parts, labor, which included the reset. If they replace the oil WITHOUT resetting the light, there a bunch of jackasses and you should go to another dealer.

I think $600 is a LOT of money for the work there doing.

what message came on - change oil or oil level low. If it's oil level low all you need to do is add a quart. If it's change oil - it should correspond with one of the major services so either whoever owned it previously didn't keep up with the service intervals or whoever they had perform the service didn't set the reminders appropriately. $600 for an oil change is nuts, but I'm finding the cost of ownership to be pretty pricey on everything for this car.

$200 for an oil change and reset here too from a local dealer.

Considering the dealership is in SoCal, I think this is rather good.

It is no the oil level low light. This is service oil change now. It is one of the messages in the on dash LCD scrolly thing. Forgot the name. I have to add 1 qt of oil every 1000 miles, so I very familiar with the oil level low indicator. The porsche exchange called this am annual service, but the full or partial maintenance indicators have 7200 and 9600 miles respectively. The fact that they said they would just do the oil. Change but not reset that message is what is bothering me.

Good afternoon orange,

I have a great independent tech in the Homer Glen area. I don't know if I am allowed to post his info here, but I can PM it to you, if you would like. It seems like some of these Chicagoland dealerships really want to get into the customers pocket.

Just for comparison, I just had a 20K service for my PTT which included the oil change and cost $897 at BH Porsche in So Cal.

Thanks for the info. Not sure why I need a full maintenance when it's just the oil service. But such is life. Anyways thanks for the comps
