Lost PSM in the snow storm

My Pan 4 was stuck in very thick snow for about 5 times during the recent snow storm. In 2 of those times I got a PSM failure message, I had to restart the car and all was back to normal. I did manage to free the car each time though. Any ideas what went wrong?

I bet it has something to do with the ABS sensors in the wheel, get dirt or something in them (snow?) and sensors stop working. My BMW M5 sensors were ultra sensitive and I was driving in winter with no stability management.

There was about 12 inches of snow. We don't usually get that much snow in Toronto. I guess I will have my dealer to take a look at the car next month when I go in for my summer tire change over.

If I turn off PSM, is PTM still active? Perhaps someone could kindly explain to me how PSM and PTM are related?
