GTS Availability
GTS Availability
Just heard from my dealer (one of the biggest in the midwest) that they are having a tough time getting the GTS. One customer delayed his order and now is out of luck. Anyone else hearing this?
My dealer in Chicagoland told me in mid January that there were only a few configurable slots left in production for 2013 in the US between all the dealers for the GTS trim, but turbos and other Panamera models were still available. He speculated that Porsche will sometimes "limit" production once they hit a certain number.
Perhaps they are running down inventory to prepare for the new refresh. ..I don't really know...

our dealor had one for a january build and his last for 2013 was a March build - i got to spec it to the "T".
bit crazy but just saw one show up on the Edmonton site and it was equally loaded so perhaps these last round r going out in style.

I was just in chicago area dealer this week trying to order a 2013 turbo and the salesman said all the allocations for 2013 cars are gone - I'd either have to find something that had already been ordered or wait till september when they start building the 2014's. Makes me wonder if a bigger change is coming than we all expect since it seems like production was pretty short on the 2013's
This is true, the slots are very rare so if you get one take it. Just ordered one in Boston, 7% off MSRP White / Black leather
That is great you got 7% off despite the tightness in supply. Good to hear there is not gouging going on. My GTS (yachting metal blue, agate grey/cream interior, 20" turbo wheels) is due in early March so I am glad I got my order in when I did. My only regret is that I ordered the BOSE system instead of the Burmester.

I listened to both the Burmester and Bose systems. Burmester is sweet but I couldn't justify the extra $3.5k. The color combo you picked sounds great, enjoy your ride, my car arrives Late april.
Does anybody know how to find out how many GTS were made or sold in USA? It seems like the numbers were fairly limited, very few ever seemed for sale. Not like the 997 GTS or Cayenne GTS that appear to be mass produced, those are everywhere. Plus, other then mine, I have never seen another in person, on road or at dealers.
Don't know the exact quantity but the supply is limited. I would guess that 5% of total build for panamera is for the GTS. This is completely different for the cayenne where over 50% is the GTS model
It also looks like 2013 build slots shut off in April

Maybe 400 is low but I would say a max of 800. The majority are for the platnium edition and the regular Panamera. Then you add in the S the 4S and the Turbo.
what version of GTS Cayenne are you talking about? The 957 was 15% GTS; 50% just does not make any sense.
here is something i found earlier on the # of GTS Cayennes:
issue 204 of Excellence does a great article on the new GTS, but more interesting for us with the 957 GTS are some stats on the build numbers for the 957.
apparently there were 15,766 built in total and this is 17% of that total series. so another way to look at that is there are 4 other models of the 957 Cayenne for every GTS, regardless of the tranny. that in itself isn't bad for some earlier bottoming in value.
of that total though, only 3% world wide were manual transmissions which puts it at only a mere 473 IN THE WHOLE WORLD. now that is a pretty small head count for a Porsche model under any circumstances & regardless of year. we know 1 of those manuals is in the Porsche museum, so that leaves only 472 out there.

Look at any dealer in the country and the number of Cayenne GTS's for sale vs other models. It's over 50 % of their Cayenne inventory.
