After market reversing camera?
Can a reversing camera be installed in a Panny that already has park sensors but no camera?
Not that you really need a camera if you have the park assist sensors, but when you have it in other cars, it's something you kind of appreciate having.

I put in this .... And works great other than two things, doesn't show the lines on screen when backing up (not a big deal to me), and if the car goes into service and they take the battery cable off you have to use the steering wheel buttons (comes with a manual that i suggest to keep in the glove box on the how to) to reset the car to know it has a reverse camera.

contact info sounds good. Minor detail though...I still have a 911 C4S cab, and haven't sold it yet but was thinking that if I got a Panamera with no camera, that would be helpful to know it can be easily installed.
thanks again!

I don't know if many of you feel like I do on this issue. The Panamera's design severely compromises rear visibility to the extent that it is a safety issue (not a convenience). Porsche should have fitted all Panameras with them as standard equipment; particularly when you see many common every-day cars that offer reversing cameras as standard features.
To me, its rather insulting that one has to pay for features (in cars of this stature and pricing segment) that are commonly found built into much, much cheaper cars. Although I have been a Porsche owner for 40 years, I've always be put off by Porsche's optioning strategy.

Absolutely agree on all points. Even looking at the blind spot is a comprimise.
As for Porsche options, I couldn't agree more. For what we pay in options you can by a new Honda. (Which probably comes standard with power seats and other Porsche options).
At least they finally made navi. standard instead of a $3500 option
