Panamera 2011 vs 2012

Hi all. I am considering purchasing a pre-owned Panamera. Are there any marked differences between 2011 and 2012 model years? My dealer told me there is a improvement in the PDK, but I am not sure it is noticeable. I would appreciate any feedback.

I think they are just talking about software upgrade not actual mechanical improvements

I felt there is improvement between my friends one, the sound of the PDK shift change are more lower, you cannot hear the sound for the 2012 ones in the shift of gear, while 2011, you can hear it badly. Also, careful with software problem tend to happen a lot on 2011 than the 2012 ones.

A late 2012 may be similar to a 2013 model (door lock/unlock button by the door handle inside).

PDK:
There is definitely improvement in the PDK. Software accounts for at least part of it. I was told that there is hardware improvement as well. I'm happy with my 2011, but when I drive the 2012 and 2013 models, they are better, especially at lower speeds. Smoother, less jerky gear changes.

Altitude:
Current altitude became an option on the round multifunctional display in 2012. This is not available on the 2011s, even after software update.

PCM Audio:
On some 2011 cars, the iPod / Bluetooth audio cuts off when the car is coming to a stop under braking. This does not appear to be a problem in the newer models.

Sports chrono map:
My 2011 sports chrono option did not draw the route correctly when activated. It now works after a software update.

Blind spot detector:
This became an option on 2012 models.

Honk or "chirp" with door lock:
The sound may have been changed from a honk in 2011 to something softer in the later models. You'll have to double check this.
