There goes my baby...

Driving into our community the other evening noted a smell of heated fluids or burnt plastic less than 100 yards from home. Immediately turned into driveway and parked and turned off the engine. Opened the hood, checked underneath. No obvious fluids or plastic bags clinging to a hot part like the exhaust system. Sat back in the car and about 5 minutes later started her up again, no warning lights. I heaved a sigh of relief and thought it might have just been a fluke. Wanted to drive the car into the garage when I noted I had lost power steering. In the rear-view mirror I saw a puddle in the driveway. Promptly backed her into the driveway and turned her off - she spent the night on the same spot. Checked again and this time she was dripping. Just had her towed away and I am anxiously awaiting a diagnosis. A sad sight seeing her go off on a truck bed...

+1 It could have been a lot worse, at least you were really close to home and not on a road trip. It should be back in no time Enjoy your weekend and keep us updated.

Thanks Guys,
Apparently a hose broke loose and the steering fluid was lost as a result. It was quickly fixed but I have to find time to go pick her up about 120 miles away. I should at that time get a full briefing as to what went wrong.
