Did you guys cross shop the Audi S6?

I've had the M5's, the E63's but never a S6.

When you guys were in the market for the Panamera, did you crosshop the S6?

In terms of value, the S6 is phenomenal.

What ultimately led you to spend the money on the Pan?

TIA.

If I were to have cross-shopped an Audi, it would have been the S7; but no. The only other vehicle in consideration at the time I purchased my 4S was the 650 Gran Sport. However, the Pana 4S suited me much better.

I'm not a fan of the S7 nor the gran sport.

I do like the CLS63 though.

+100.....Audi was not even remotely on my radar screen....

In my opinion, other than the R8 (which is awesome), Audi has the worst exterior styling (a.k.a. BLAND) of any of the higher end german carmakers.

I was looking at Audi before trying the Panamera but hated the MMI. And the Audi interior quality wasn't up to the GTS's.

I agree with all of you guys but the value is undeniable.

I guess I should go with my heart not my head.

My heart is telling me to get the Pan, the brain is saying S6.

A friend bought a Cayenne Hybrid vs. the Pan due to rear visibility and rear storage (for golf bags). He has a 997.1 TT Tip. so all is not lost.

I test drove an S6, really enjoyed it. I would be curious to see a dimension and weight comaprison.

Go with your heart....I am lucky to have a '13 Panny GTS...Hands down, no doubt, the best car I have ever driven / owned. And, in the looks and interior department, kicks the **** of an S6.

I did with the S6, S7 & S8. S8 was very close on my list to the Panamera, but the design and look won us over to the Porsche.

Not surprised... Several Audi models no doubt drive very well...however. Aesthetics side, they seriously look like toyotas or Hondas from the outside. They are bland... The " white rice" of German engineering.

I owned an S8 (V10) before my PTT, honestly, the S8 is a beautiful stealth car, very very easy to drive quickly, very luxurious and solidly built. However it handled like a barge compared to the Panamera which drives like its on rails.

I bought a 4s two years ago, compared it with the A7. The A7 seemed like a Ford Taurus in comparison; now that they have the S7, I'm guessing it'd be a tough call!

(I LOVE hatchbacks!)

I had an S7 on order and cancelled it to buy a '10 Pan 4S instead. The S7/6 are great cars, but they felt a little sterile to me vs the Pan in both styling, steering feel and handling.
I have a friend with the new S6 and he loves it, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. I drove the S6/7 extensively before making my decision There is a thread floating around on this very topic, but I don't have the link in front of me.
