to create the perfect steering wheel, I ordered the CF multifunction wheel and added the TechArt paddle shifters, from Suncoast Porsche.

Very high quality, look great and work great, as I can compare them to my factory paddle shifters in my 991, certainly every bit as good but even better cause color matches!!

i had them on my 2010 ptt as well, definitely more intuitive than the stupid buttons porsche puts on the multi function wheel. I still can't understand why they don't offer regaular paddles with the multi function wheel when every other manufacturer does. Anyway your paddles look cool with the matching color - did you custom order them, mine were just silver and didn't match the steering wheel very well.

I just think initally they came only the way yours were then added a few more options over the years.

 

Looks sweet. My only question...how is the clearance between the paddles and the various stalks on the wheel (wiper, turn signal etc). I assume its ok but i wanted to check.

I love the steering wheel. I'm at suncoast's website and I cant find it. How did you come across it?

 

Whats involved in doing the upgrade? Can you share the instruction manual? Cost? This looks like a great solution to the mf steering wheel (which i ordered on my '14 PGTS)

Sharkwerks has them!! they aint cheap but for the function and quality well worth it!

it is a very simple DIY install....if you are so inclined.

I had my dealer do it and they charged me for an hour of labor, but I knew it was done right!

I did the conversion on my car myself - only took 3 hours going slow so as not to damage anything. I'm sure I could do it considerably quicker now.

It should be noted that the action on the paddles is different than the factory one. The TechArt solution retains the sliders from the stock buttons but only uses the pull motion. The factory setup pivots toward the wheel from the steering column. I find that I have to be somewhat carefull to pull them forward square to the plane of the wheel to get a smooth action. After a week of use it becomes muscle memory and all is once again good in the universe!

I didnt know that. and since I have the factory paddle shifters also, gotta admit I never really noticed much of a difference, so guess they are pretty good
