Entire car wrap?

Has anyone vinyl wrapped their entire car? I intrinsically wanted to buy a white Panamera but they had a black on on the lot that was fully loaded for the same price (2012 vs 2013). I'm now thinking about getting it wrapped white. Any pros/cons?

I had the roof of my G37S wrapped before but that was an easy flat surface that couldn't really be see.

Thats what i'm planning to do as well. Wanted a white but only the black on the lot is fully loaded. Some wrap only the exterior so when you open the doors, you can still see your original color. The more expensive option is to have the door removed and wrap the inside panels as well

Sounds like a really bad move. For what you'll lose on eventual resale, you could have spent towards ordering exactly what you want new. Or be patient and wait for your car to show up (which may not happen) , or go get what you want -- new and keep it for a long time!

Local dealer just wrapped a 991 911 matte black. Door jam, gas cap, etc. Result was great if you like that. Retail cost 6K. The Panny can certainly be done. I think 6K is high for a 911.

6K is way too high. The Cayman Interseries wraps are around 5.5K and they are very involved with complex graphics and decals.

The wrap is a fantastic protection for the car - it is VERY tough. I would get a satin wrap if you want a 'matte' car, but I'm not sure wrapping just to get a different color. Sounds like it would be easier and cheaper just to get the painted version.

matte white WRAP is very DIFFICULT to keep clean.
looks great in the beginning but after 3-4 months you'll find spots that just don't come off even with magic eraser
wraps in the phoenix area are running 2-3k for a full job.

Yeah. I was quoted around $3K here. Was planning on going regular gloss white. Only matte I would do would be matte black but it would be much diff than what I have now (when dirty..haha).

It's never a bad move to wrap a car if you paid a reputable installer to do so. It's the same as clear bra, protects your original paint.

If it is your personal car I would not get a color you dont want and wrap it to the color you do, just wont be clean

wraps are great for race cars and advertising as in my pic of trailer and race car which is wrapped matte black, great protection but interior is still yellow

also wraps for outside are 1-3k not 6??

for your personal car, wait and get the color you want, my two cents.
