2014 Panamera GTS or Turbos

Are 2014s arriving and anyone ordered one? I'm debating whether to pick up a 2013 or wait a little longer to see what 2014 inventory arrives in the US.

I ordered a 2014.

I just couldn't find one that was equipped the way I wanted so I ended up ordering one plus I got a 5% discount which did entice me a little bit.

I shopped around, and like Fkim011, I couldn't find what I wanted. They stopped production of the 2013s some time ago I guess to make room for the 2014s. Its my first car I'm buying so it had to be perfect.

they're due to launch in September. My dealer is going on a trip next week to test the 2014s. She says a build takes 3-4 months.

I have a 2014 Turbo here next month. Buy the most expensive version you can - that is my conclusion after years of car buying

I like the turbo more, it suits my DD driving more than the GTS. Turbo is a sleeping giant, it is comfy and smooth; push the peddle, the car wakes up and give you a big smile. I spend 2 weeks with the GTS, the cool exhaust note wears off in a few days (I didn't even notice it after a while), the PDK is tune to be shift eager. I feel the GTS is "ON" the all the time, on the freeway if you step on the gas a bit it shift down, and got a bit annoying to me after a while.

On days I want to have fun, I just push the sport+ button and pretty much behaves like GTS with much more torque. Beside the best about a turbo is the difference after you tune it

Is that with much haggling or did you have a really good relationship with the dealer?

I have a great relationship with the dealership. This will be my 5th Porsche from them and 9 Porsches total including the purchases from the rest of my family in the last 3 years.

However, with that being said...I referred a friend over to my sales guy and he got the same 5% no questions asked. I don't know if that is because he is someone that name dropped me or because this is just an unusually aggressive dealership.

I'm being told by my service person at the dealership that the `14 4S will be powered by a 420HP twin-turbo V6. That's GTS territory! He's driven it and says that it has incredible power and handling.

My salesman said the samething. I guess a month ago Porsche had a 2014 product showing for various salespeople for all the dealerships where they got to see the 2014 Panamera and drive it. My salesman came back glowing saying how much better the new looked outside and the power and balance was incredible.

Appreciate the information. It's been 6 years since i owned my first Porsche which was a 997 GT3. 5% is better than I thought you would be able to get for a 2014 order.

I bet the V-6 is lighter. But I also hope they would fix that PDK lag. I drove a 2013 P GTS this past weekend, and I thought I would like it more. I couldn't get over the shift lag, even in Sport Plus. Maybe it's the software but I really hope they fix that on the 2014. It's not the same shift time as a 991.
