Running 255 on all four for winter

I know it is not the Porsche recommended configuration, but is there any harm to having the rears be the same width as the front for winter tires? Narrower tires are better for snow traction, and I don't plan on tossing the car around during the winter months. I would rather drive a bit conservatively and have less chance of getting stuck in the snow.
