Radio default to off?

Is there a way to default the radio to off when starting the car? When ever I turn off the radio while driving and leave it off at shut down, it always comes back on when I start the car.

I think not. However you can set it to AUX input and at least it will be quiet when you start up.

I leave mine at AUX when I want it off to listen to my exhaust.

Try turning radio off and then pressing the button to save your seat position settings. I think the radio settings are saved on the key in addition to the seat, steering, and mirror positions.

I tried saving the radio "off" in memory and it didn't work. Anyone with other suggestions?

Try turning volume all the way down and then save key settings again.

Didn't work. I called the service dept. at the dealer for some guidance and was told the radio can't be set to default to off.
