Choices, choices...hoping to make the jump, few ???'s
Hi all. Looking to make the jump from Audi and now just coming down to choices of which I would love your opinions.
1. I've found four PTT's (two 2010, two 2011) and one GTS (2013) that I'd buy
2. The 2010's are not certified, both have 10k miles more than the 2011 but also 10-16k less. All are at Porsche dealers
3. The GTS doesn't have Burmester but it by far the newest so I'll take the hit (maybe). The 2011's PTT and 2013 GTS are the same price (low 90's)
4. The carfax are clean for three (both '11PTT & one '10 PTT), one of them I didn't get to see (other '10 PTT), the other had a fender bender, no airbags deployed (GTS)
5. Most have service history on carfax. The GTS has something like 20 service entries which seemed odd but just maintenance it looks like. 18K miles, I'm not sure if that's a red flag...
Questions:
Would you buy a non certified car from a Porsche dealer?
Can a car become certified / can you buy certification?
For a non certified car, what's the best aftermarket warranty to buy that can be used at the dealer?
There is an affordability issue here, should I continue to save and get the newer car and take the risk of trying to find the right car in 2-3 months? I'm not in a super hurry but I also know the PTT and GTS I'm looking at are pretty loaded with Burnmester, not easy to find.
Bargaining power, how much wiggle room is available with these cars, any?
If I stick to the cert ones, what's the better buy , '11 PTT or '13 GTS?
Your input is greatly appreciated.

also burnsterr is not worth the 7k asking price. Don't sweat it if the car doesn't have it. It's not like the bang and olufsen system on the aston martins. As far as panny GTS, without a relationship there probably won't be much wiggle room. I mean there is 15k profit built into these cars. So there is a lot of wiggle room, the key is how good of a negotiator are you and how desperate are they to sell. My situation is more difficult because I never really buy any car that sat on a lot, I always order custom built ones. But I still got now 8k off on my GTS order.
Rule of thumb also as far as better buy is to always go for the newer car unless it is base. But if both are very well optioned and you can afford both go for the newer car. The dealer can certify it especially if it on their lot.

@speedster and @erekcat, thanks for your input
I am going to keep looking as I am not too fond of paying around 100K for a 2010 or 2011. I see some GTS's that hover around 100K and that is really the upper limit for me. On the low end, I have found 2010 PTT's in the 70's and 80's. To get them CPO'ed it basically gives me two years (I really wont reach the 100K mile threshold, most cars have 30-40K on them).
I was also thinking a Gran Coupe but I think it is going to drive more like my CL500 (which I didnt like so much, not a drivers car). I have a Audi TT now and I would want something sporty like that (and I am sure the GTS or PTT will deliver there).

The grand coupe with M package is pretty nice. Especially with merino leather. Drives pretty well. But yes probably will drive more like the CL500. The m6 is closer to a GTS but the m6 still drives like a boat.
here are two links / reviews Ive looked at for comparison until I test drive each (will happen end of Feb)
Panny GTS ->
BMW 640 Gran Coupe (I would get the 650 though) ->

While you're looking at videos - this one is pretty interesting comparing the 4S and the PTT - nothing better than more hp.

depending on my money, I may go cheap and get a 2010 PTT or the opposite end and order a GTS knowing I wont get it until maybe the Spring/Summer if not later. As I keep searching, no GTS has everything I want and if I am spending over 100K on a car, it has to have everything on it I want. Ironically the used PTT Im looking at (there are 2-3 of them) are outfitted with the options I want, not the color but since it is cheaper I can settle on color.
The one I would build is like this one -> http://www.porsche-code.com/PEWE9BS3
