Spoiler…..does it make any real difference?
The retractable spoiler is a unique feature of the Porsche cars, and looks really cool. The Turbo/GTS spoiler is especially nice looking. However, can a relatively small surface area spoiler make any difference to the drive of a 4000 pound car?

And why does a VW Beetle need one, except to look cool?

It makes enough difference that the car feels well planted and is not at all squirrely at maximum speed.

Informative article. I wonder why just Porsche has them...other cars can go pretty fast too!
