(HELP) Changing license plate lights

Hi everyone! i have been dying to get rid of those god awful yellow bulbs that come stock with the panamera. I have read http://www.porscheownersmanuals.com/...er-plate-light
and still cannot get it out. I have used enough force to break the damn plastic. Have any of you replaced it and how do i take it out? and which bulbs did you use? Hopefully this question is not silly...

I had the same issue on my 2013 when I changed the bulbs out to the coded LED ones I bought through Suncoast Porsche. If I recall once I finally got the fixtures out there was a plastic clip that extended from the slot where you can insert the screwdriver under the sheetmetal of the car. I inserted the screw driver and slid the entire light fixture to the right with some force and then the clip released allowing the fixtures to be removed. Hope this helps.

Do not pry at the location shown in the owner's Manuel, you can never get it out that way. Instead you use a flat blade screw diver and pry at the outer edge of the light housing, put a piece of cloth in between so you don't scratch anything.

You're a total life saver, that was what did it. I wish Suncoast added your tip to the lousy instructions that come with the LED lights...

Thank You!

I changed my license plate bulb lights and my car gave me a “light out warning” how can I get LED bulbs that won’t do that? And does the suncoast ones compatible...Porsche has told me all aftermarket ones will say that

CANBUS bulbs. Mine don't throw error messages.

Mine don't throw any codes either - as mentioned, make sure they're CANBUS LED's.

Mine were spares from several Audi's I had done that are also CANBUS compatible. The brand I used is Ziza and I got them from ECS tuning:

Chances are it's a cheap SMD chip/cheap bulb. I had a batch of 10 bulbs from China that all starting flickering after a few months. Dumped them for much improved bulbs that are actually a bit whiter and ZERO flicker.

I understand I can get the Ziza set but damn it all man, $50 for 2 bulbs that can be found much cheaper and work on 90% of any other car...but the Panamera. I can't justify the price.

What set did you find that don't flicker? The set I got work in all other functions (no code, no flicker) ie lock/unlock, trunk open etc but only found out they flicker while driving, because a friend told me when he followed me. I don't get it.
