stock intercooler dimensions

Was curious what the length width and hight of the stock ones were or what the dimensions of the upgraded ones are that companies are using. Shop guy said he can make better intercoolers. Just heading to wc and was just wondering if anyone knew. Thanks in advance said he would make more if guys wanted Em. Not a bad idea without costing a million bucks

Hey Ben - You thinking you would keep your AP Y-pipe with a new intercooler setup? There isn't a lot out there from what I've seen as far as upgraded aftermarket intercoolers for PTT... I think it would be an awesome upgrade though... FVD is getting "up to 20% increase in performance" with the intercoolers they sell for the Cayenne turbo - wonder if these are same stock dims for PTT??:

Yea I'd still keep the 3 inch y pipe just get intercooler with 3 inch outlets I think it would be a good upgrade especially living in hot as Las Vegas. I see the power packages they offer so finding someone to custom make them and save some cash can't hurt.

When I get back from world cup I'm gonna talk with him more see how big he can stuff in there and how much and I'll definitely keep ya posted. Cooling the air and getting 30% more power sounds like a terrible idea. Haha

yeah - I think by adding a top notch intercooler into the mix, the PTT has just incredible potential... I've been considering next stage / upgrading my turbos and really want to include an upgraded intercooler in the build if I'm to pull the trigger on this next stage.

I've been doing a lot of research re: this topic and during my quest was pointed to David Green of GMS of which I've been speaking with over the last week or so...

David is a NASA engineer that has actually just recently received a patent and released a brand new intercooler design for the Panamera Turbo (and Turbo S). He is claiming some pretty incredible temp reduction with this new design at 18-24% cooler than the stock intercooler where "other" aftermarket intercooler solutions tested, typically come in around 7% cooler than stock.

He has also worked with FVD Brombacher where FVD tunes against to take advantage of the lower intake temps produced along with including a new plenum in the design that claims increased airflow and provides "even greater performance over all aftermarket plenums in the market"... interesting stuff......

Here is a pic of the new Panamera intercooler design from the GMS website:

Yeah but what is on the website does include the entire "Large intercooler power kit" which is the FVD upgraded software (3k), new plenum design, diverter valves and new intercooler (and connectors) in that package...

Yes , dodson motorsport is releasing this sumer upgrated pdk clutch to suport 1200 hp and more ! But dont forget that dfi fuel system in the panamera is good up to 800 hp .

So what you can do to the panamera :
-switzer or fvd intercooler (or keep oem and add a methanol injection kit )
-3 inch ypipe
-fabspeed xpipe and downpipes
- turbo upgrade , panamera has mitsubishi td04-18t.11 , you can upgrade the housing and the compresor wheel to 19t which will be good up too 800 hp ..parts for this cost only 1k + labour to install and balance this in your turbos

Wow great news on the upgraded pdk clutch!! Any idea on what that might cost?

I've been talking to FVD about upgrading to stage 4 turbos components and they say they are boosted to 20t... With an intercooler and 20t upgrade + the right tune and upgraded clutch = I think we could begin to see some crazy numbers on the PTT.

Think we will see a pani break the 1000hp mark??
