Every time I've test driven a Panny in the past, it has struck me as too big. Last week I had a Panamera 4 as a loaner for 3 days. There's no question it's big, especially compared to my 991 (duh!) but other than one curb climb on the first day, I found it easy to maneuver. It's also ridiculously solid on the interstate: as or more solid than any other German sedan I've driven. Every time I used the rearview mirror, I marveled at how far back that rear window lies. Made me feel like I was driving a stretch limo. I found the cruise control better than the one on my 991: less lag under the speed when climbing hills, and less overrun on the downhill, also quicker to recover the set speed. Of course, the trunk swallowed all my golf detritus easily. I can see it as a road trip car after the kids are all out of the house and my wife and I need to go visit them in various places.
Bottom line: the three days turned me from a "no" to "under the right circumstances...."
Enjoy your rides, guys and gals!
