I am about to purchase a PTTS. I was looking for a new 2014 PTT but came across one of the few remaining new PTTS that the dealer wanted to move as he told me sales of both the PTT and PTTS's were soft ( not to mention the executive editions ). I am getting a great deal ( buying it for the price of a turbo) on the vehicle, it has the specs I want except I am not sure about the interior color, cognac ( exterior carbon grey). I usually go with black interior but I do like the contrast better then I thought I would. The only thing I wish was that it would be two tone color with a black dash and steering wheel. Has anyone done after market mods or even used Porsche service to change the dash and steering wheel? Or should I just go with a turbo ( not S) and get the interior I want.?
Are there any cognac interior owners who have had my same dilemma? What are you thoughts ? Thank you.
I have a carbon metallic over cognac (dash) and love the color combo... from the exterior view, the cognac looks amazing contrasting with the carbon paint. Understand why you would want black but just my thoughts... If it were me, id go with the awesome deal, stick with the cognac dash and swap out steering wheel to alcantera / color of choice
Our new PSeH was an incoming dealer stock model we bought during shipment.
It is Carbon over Cognac/Cedar. They ordered it with just the black interior trim. Which really doesn't work with the two-tone light interior. We changed it out to Tineo. I would have preferred Olive, but it's the wife's car and she didn't like the texture of the Olive.
Cognac is a nice color, but I do prefer it with the two tone of Cedar on the upper surfaces.
Here's what ours looks like now. It's more of a luxury look, rather than sporty.
My car is carbon grey as well and I have the two tone interior part of it being cognac. Like you I tend to go with dark interiors but I have been very pleased with the color and maybe it's just me but the lighter color brings out the interiors quality. If you are saving 30K you can always make changes after!
