Panamera tow hook front plate

Looks like I need a front plate in Chicago. Can anyone give me advice on how to use the tow hook to mount a plate. I've read that it's possible but haven't heard who can do it or how to do it.

Anyone have any tips? Or places in Chicago that can do the work? I don't really want to try my hand at it unless it's super simple and no risk.

Thanks!

Also, do they block anything important? Sensors, air intake, etc?

Why do you need one in Chicago? To stop the bullets?

That would be convenient if they shot that low...

Gotta have front plates here.

I've been looking at the cravenspeed platypus and wondering if it's the way to go. Also if there's a cheaper option. $100 for the hardware plus shipping seems steep for a little mounting bracket. Maybe I'm just cheap.

I use US MILLWORKS for my panny and wife's Cayman R. No issues with sensors, easy to install.

I got mine at Napleton Porsche in Westmont. I am not sure on the brand, but the price was surprisingly reasonable. It is a super easy on/off procedure. I put mine on each time I park at O'Hare and remove it shortly after. I carry an adjustable wrench in the car and something to pop off the tow hook cover piece. It is a one minute process.

No issues with sensors.

Just got the platypus from amazon for about $70-80

Works fine. When you oreder if just call the company and ask if they can also send you the extra piece which lowers tge plate attachment by about 3 inches. Some people note interference with sensors but this will lower it out of the way for sure
