Samp is infamous around these parts
I agree that it is for the major stuff. You can buy a drive line only all the way to full coverage.

Like I said it depends on your comfort zone the Cab in the photo had a factory warranty for less then 24 hours after that it was taken apart piece by most of the systems were then replaced or rebuilt to my specs. It has never been beck to a Porsche dealer. My Panamera had around 40 copies of service visits fixing issues with the PDK (many) noises (a few) and others that quite honestly were the way the car was. The previous owner had a Lexus before the Panamera. They are not the same type of cars, I have somewhat of a talent to hear and feel even the slightest issue in a car. I almost never keep a car stock and whether it was a Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW, MB, or a Maserati, I was taking them apart. So what scares me is not a way to judge, but it is about piece of mind and if a 20K repair bill scares you never buy a older Ferrari or a 100K + car without a warranty. There was a time that I would own between 11-16 cars at a time all in some state of rebuilding mode when I finished with one I got rid of it and found a new one. You see I have Asbergers as well as almost no formal education so most things I have done in life are just to prove I can. When my car phase was over I turned to writing novels to keep my mind busy and my third is at the editors right now. In the end it really up to what you can deal with but as I always tell people 100k+ cars are not designed to be maintained on a budget of someone who thinks 100K + is a lot for a car.
