Panamera window tint

I know this topic has been covered in various ways, but after reading through several threads, I'm still wondering:

What's the darkest tint in the panamera that's still legal (chicago) that people have enjoyed (that keeps an acceptable visibility level)?

Any pics of tinted panamera windows that you guys can share so I can see the product and % tint used and what it actually looks like on the car?

Any product recommendations?

Thanks! It's getting hotter now and I can tell I'd like to keep the car cooler, and looking cool isn't so bad either. Don't love the blue tinted products that make the world look different.

Check with your DMV, don't trust what you read on the interwebs.

And pics of tints will tell you nothing, unless they were all shot in the same conditions using the same equipment. IMO

Dont know how accurate this is.

But for me being in KALIfornia. I'm clear tint infront, 55% drivers and 35% on rear passengers and rear windows. I'm using spectra tint by premier.

You may want to look into the felt issue on window film. I know there is an issue with the guides scratching film on Panameras.

That's pretty mandatory I believe for tint on Panamera's. I have something like that put on. No Issues.

Talked to a tint guy over the weekend and he said he's never done it, and he's never had problems. But I bet he's never done a panamera.

Not sure about the Chicago legal tint so can't help you there.

But I am using SunTek CXP18 all around with 3M Crystalline CR70 on the front windshield. SunTek CXP film has dark/black look, no shiny reflection. 3M Crystalline on the front windshield cuts down the heat significantly. I like this set up for its value and performance to cut down the heat & radiation on where I need the most while keep the privacy for the passengers inside the car.

Added felt on all 4 windows, no scratch, but it is a wear & tear item so it all depends how often you roll up & down your window before they need to be replaced.

Hope it helps.

Looks awesome! How much did it cost and what type of place can do the felt install? I've spoken with a few tint places and none of them want to take the door apart to do the felt.

On a related note, does it keep things so cool that at 80 degrees or so outside, you don't need the AC?

Suntek is between $300-$400 for all 4 windows in Southern California area, also depends on the time of the year you are getting tint...Winter cheaper, summer more expensive... 3M Crystalline front windshield only is around $250-$350.

Each felt is about $20/window. Most tint shops should be able to instal felt. Just keep in mind, it requires to remove door panel to access and install felt, so ask around quality shops that knows what they are doing.

Good luck!
