Problems with Cargo Cover Closure

I have a problem with the Cargo Cover in my brand new Panamera GTS.

It won't stay snapped in. See below photo.

As soon as both sides are clipped in and I let go, they won't stay put. The soft cover immediately (and loudly) comes loose and snaps/rolls back up into the case.

I think the plastic receivers on both sides have worn out and bent....probably from sitting in the hot sun and they became maleable.

I'll stop by my dealer and they'll probably replace the parts.

But has anyone else had this happen to their cars?

Hard to believe that the sun could explain why plastic tabs have disappeared.

see picture from my Panamera :

Mine are missing as well... inquiries to Porsche have gone unanswered, and there are no "clips" shown in the parts manual... if you find an answer PLEASE clue me in!!!! UPDATE: The cover does indeed fit into the notch in the rear hatch, you just have to mess with it...

nothing is missing from what I can see in those photos.

This cover does not snap-in... easily. It took me many tries to figure out how to get it to stay in. Once it's in it's secure.. but if it's not in the right place it'll fall back out easily.

I'll see if I can take a video later today... no guarantees. But keep trying to figure out how to get the peg into its resting place. With patience you'll get it. Not a great design...

Actually I think these photos show it well enough. It has to fit perfectly into these tabs.

I can't tell from the OP's photo if those tabs are missing or not.

I listened to the responses and I'll be darned, it does sit solidly in that recess... you just need to work it around a bit...

I'm glad you got it. It definitely requires some playing with it to figure out where it's supposed to go. Now that I've done it several times it's easier to get it into the right position.

Slightly unrelated to the closure tabs, but still dealing with the cover itself. Is anyone's cover ridiculously sticky? I thought maybe the previous owner spilled something on it, but it is literally the entire cover edge to edge. I've tried wiping it down with cleaners, then diluted iso alc, then straight up iso but no luck. So aside from buying a new one, I just avoid touching it....ever.
