13 GTS or 10/11 Turbo
13 GTS or 10/11 Turbo
I gut the differences between the two models in terms of outright speed, throttle response and exhaust sound.
But what I don't know is what overall changes between an earlier PTT and a newer GTS. Is it better to get an earlier low mileage PTT for $50k or a 13 GTS GTS for $65k?
For example, is the ride terrible on the earlier TT whereas on newer models they completely revamped the suspension? Looking for bigger things to consider if there are any.
Rest of stable is GX460, Huracan.

I did a bunch of research on this in the last few weeks and decided to go for a 2012 Turbo.
Could not really find a 2013 GTS below $70k and Turbo's tend to have more 'stuff', i.e. options (the typical Turbo has about $25k in options, GTS not so much (plus more basic stuff in the PTT).
My local Porsche dealer told me to avoid 2011 or before PDK, apparently they changed the details on the electronics for that quite a bit.
Plus, a 2012 will come with a few months warranty left!
Good luck

GTS sound is intoxicating. OP: drive both cars and make your decision from there. IMO I could not live without the turbo. Both are fantastic machines.

Both are great cars.
The GTS is awesome from the moment you get behind the wheel, instantaneous throttle response, exhaust sound, pdk shift speed... The Turbo takes a bit to find your groove, understanding and predicting the turbo lag, but once you do getting back in the GTS makes you desiring a few more hp.
Either way, we're talking about the upper echelon of 4 door super cars they are both awesome machines.

Both are great cars. I decided to go with an older Turbo compared with a newer S or GTS for the same price. I owned a 997 Turbo previously so apparently I just have a thing for turbo Porsches.
