Paint on GTS

I'm Picking up my new 2016 PGTS in Carmine Red this Saturday. What suggestions are out there for preserving the finish in a like new condition for the longest time. I had a clear wrap on my Hybrid and don't want to go in that direction.

Honestly.... Xpel Ultimate PPF. No other way around road debris damage, rock chips, scratching, etc... Sure you can use Wolfgang wax (http://www.wolfgangcarcare.com/wolfg...ax-sample.html) but there is no substitute for the best quality paint protection films.

I bought a pristine 2012 P4 in December and had Xpel put on the front end, hood, A pillars, and mirrors. Already comes from factory with rear wheel protection.

Do the headlights? Often overlooked but definitely worth it.

in addition to the headlights, I also did a 6 inch wide strip that ran across the car on top of the windshield.

My installer said that Porsche has a special UV application on its headlights and if Xpel is applied and then removed, that process of removal will remove the UV protectant. I have yet to contact my dealer to confirm this.

No need to ever remove once installed unless it gets damaged then a fresh piece can always be re-applied.

For the cost of a headlight unit, the Xpel is worth it. It'd be far less the reapply the Xpel to the headlight if needed. Also, I think Xpel rates the headlight prtection at something like a 1/2 inch rock at 150mph.

OP - any pictures of the '16 Carmine GTS to share?

Also - why did you not want to go down the route of a PPF again? Thanks!

Very nice! So you did red on red; I've seen that before but have never seen it in person. My mind wants to say it is too much red, but I just love red so much that I could see it working. I think the red/black interior is the best one available in the Panamera, and the red exterior really highlights the sports-car theme of the Panamera as well (relative to, say, an S-class or 7-series).

I was thinking that red/red might be too much when I ordered the Panny. Did it anyway and no regrets. There is enough black in the car to offset the red.

Awesome choice and the clear bra is definitely worth every penny. I know it was the best choice I did on my 911 and definitely recommend my installer (Eddie @ Autoshield in San Diego)he's great to work with and has great quality work too.
