Got a "key not detected" message once or twice over the last few months. Took key out of pocket and then it started.
I think I put a new battery in the key fob when I got the car a few months ago. I don t use the car everyday if that matters?
Any ideas ? Future problem starting out? or normal? Thanks

 

Change the battery - that should correct issue.

OK, done. FYI/ its a CR2032 battery. You slide the valet key out about 3/4 of the way and then just pry up to access battery.

 

I got the same error message, fixed it same way. No more error message! 🎉

 

I can report no more message since I changed the battery... Thanks!
