New 2010 Panamera Turbo owner intro (pics inside)

Hello everyone,

Wanted to introduce myself, just picked this up few months ago.

2010 Panamera turbo.

Transitioned from a moded and tuned e92 M3.

Love the car so far. Had few issues with check engine light, pcm failure and awd light all coming on at the same time, brought back to dealer and they said it was a coil pack that went bad, they went ahead and changed them all up.

Besides that the car is great.

Mods will more than likely be down pipes, exhaust and a tune. I really want to keep the car as stock as possible.

Looking foward to lurking, reading and learning from everyone here!

I'm also from the Bay Area!

Beautiful car and I see alot of people picking up 2010 Turbos but arent you worried about the warranty coverage and the high maintenance for these vehicles?

My guess is to get an extended warranty if possible will cost you at least $5k on the low end. Or is my assessment completely off?

For those who have an extended warranty, which one do you have and what do you think of it so far? Since they don't usually cover maintenance, I am not sure if I should shell out the $5,000+ for it. Would love to hear some firsthand experience.

If you really need to question if 5k is worth a warranty then you have no idea what kind of car your driving lol. One trip alone to the dealer can easily run you 5k this is what you call a no brainer!

Yeah, like I said on my other post, I've only leased cars before. Never owned one myself so extended warranties, service charges, maintenance costs etc. are all new to me.

What length of time and # of miles do you recommend for a 2012 PTT w/ 20k miles? I'll be driving about 15k miles/yr.

If you plan on keeping the car for more then 3 years, then I would recommend a 4 year plan and as much mileage you can get. Like I said I got 4 years or 800000km. Just a example. I will be bringing my car in for warranty work, the oil pan and transmission pan are sweating a bit, and two other little things, just these things alone exceeds what I paid for my warranty. and sorry I wasn't trying to be rude, but you definitely don't wanna own this car without a warranty. It will pay off the first time you gotta use it.

Great, thank you Ride4Life! I want to own it as long as possible so maybe I'll even look at a 5 year warranty...
