if you really want to go faster, and are willing to put "NOS" on your car, why not start with a weight reduction? you could easily pull a few hundred pounds out of your car (seats, door panels, radio, AC components, ect) and be just as fast (if not faster) as you would be with"NOS" with less risk of harming the engine and gearbox.

The answer to the "why?"... I think the guy simply wants to be able to win races specifically in a Panamera against cars that technically he's supposed to lose against unless his Panamera is heavily modified way beyond a typical tune and exhaust. In other words, Im guessing he effectively wants a Sleeper Panamera capable of killing blown Hellcats and C8's. Nitrous will do it. I don't know if the pistons and cylinder walls in the Panamera 4.8 liter engine can handle more than 850 hp from increased cylinder pressure but if you choose to proceed, the nitrous kit would need to be a 3 stage (100/200/400 shot) computer controlled system. The problem in my opinion, won't necessarily be the engine blowing up. The weak link is going to be the ($20k replacement cost) 7 speed PDK Transmission. I think anything near or over 795 foot pounds of torque is the limit of what it can handle. I'm not sure what the 8 speed PDK can take but Porsche says it's stronger than the 7 speed. I know Dodson Motorsports makes a heavy duty racing clutch for the 7 speed Panamera PDK for $12k. Too expensive for me but there's not a whole lot of low priced bolt-on options for massive hp gains on a Panamera without rebuilding the engine into a street racing engine for $50k. The only other option I know of for the Panamera to be King of the Hill is to get a full Turbo upgrade from FVD for $28k which includes upgraded turbos, a full exhaust, a Turbo S intake manifold and a tune. And that price is just for the parts. You will also need the FVD PDK Transmission Tune for 1,400 more dollars and a $1,000 full intercooler pipe from Fabspeed for additional 30hp.You'll get about 260 hp boost from all that. If that's not enough, you can add a boost cooler from Snow Performance to cool the intake charge air for an additional 75 to 150 horsepower. Good luck.

Yeah well, I didn't read it 5 years ago so its new to me.
People are still reading it. Some questions were never answered. Looks like people were just pressing him to buy another car and being typical. He wasn't looking for typical, it's his car, his choice. Some did, but most offered no technical or useful information and really their response was worthless. So I provided the information that I though he was referring to myself for the next reader.
Nothing's wrong with updating the thread with new information regardless of how old it is. Sorry to bother you.
