Lowering Module - Panel Removal DIY?
Renntech has good instructions and video on the wiring part, but does anyone have instructions, notes or advice on how to get to the lowering module? I read that its in the rear driver side panel in the trunk somewhere, but before I start removing random parts, I figured I'd ask if you guys had pointers...
(Its a 2014 GTS)
Thanks

Just a small tip for those of you who want to buy the lowering links. Do NOT buy them from this company. They are useless.

have you ever managed this ? I'm in the process right now, have removed everything to get to 'him' , I will try to make some instructions, as it is FU^CKING UNBELIEVABLE job which is not described properly by any lowering modules makers

Yeah, did it a few weeks ago. Wasn’t actually too bad but all I did was pull back the side panel, removing the rear part and pushed it toward front of car. Gave me plenty of access to the module back there without having to actually remove the whole thing. From what I remember:
Remove the big rubber seal
Remove the stainless center lock plate
Remove 2 little plastic covers in side panel and take out screws holding panel
Remove screw under the stainless plate previously removed
I think that’s all I needed to do. Then the bracket holding the module is held by 3 nuts with decent access. Rest was well documented by the module instructions.
Good luck

I got stacked on this ''torx screw bolt locking device'' (p/n 97055564301) because that torx is too small for this bolt which thread is on locking glue and got damaged even without moving from place, only with plumber's pliers got it out ! Need to order new one.

negb, can you please help me trace the wire connected to that board next to the hard to remove screw? I am trying to retrofit that rear shade and I am having a hard time finding that wire in the schematics.
