panamera taillight conversion 10-13 to 14-16

hello,

I checked on the forum and realized there was no option to upgrade the taillights on the Panamera 2010-2013 to the newer taillights of the 2014-2016...
One of the options was to smoke out the taillights, or apply a red vinyl... but I had one of my friends who got stopped by the cops (i have to admit his tail lights were too dark)

I looked online and check those pictures :

left side 2010-2013 tail light, right side 2014-2016 tail light...
how is it possible, I thought wiring was different
Panamera experts can you let me know if this is possible

Thank you,

Send them money and find out.

OR use your eyes and look at how very different the shape of the .1 and .2 tail lights are....

You can see that they are very much different, yes?

Yes, they are very different that’s why I dont understand how they could fit the newer lights, I contacted the seller he said it is possible without modification and it’s plug and play ?? Worth gambling 2500$ ...

Would be a nice option together with the newer bumper.

Hello, The seller is not answering me anymore, was just wondering if those on the white panamera were a special size/shape and if I could order them here from canada or US...

Maybe someone who lives in malaysia can tell us

Is it just me, or does it look like the right side taillight actually isn't fitted all the way properly in the picture, primarily in the upper section? It may be a "plug and play" electrically, however from the picture it doesn't look seated properly.....

That's because it isn't.

The hatch, bumper and roof/quarter panel are different between the .1 and .2

To me, it looks as though in order to change the tail lights you would need:
Obviously update tail lights
Update Bumper Bar
Update Trunk
The QTR panel appears to be the same.

That picture up top looks fake. There would be more space betweeen the new tail and old bumper.

I have new 970.2 taillights and trial fitted them onto my 970.1...

- Quarter Panels are the same
- Rear Bumper must be swapped to 970.2
- Tailgate does not close. Requires a replacement 970.2 Tailgate or heavy modification.
- 970.2 taillights are plug and play with no errors

I may be undertaking this soon
