It does not look promising there is a way to manually activate it. I felt around underneath. Best bet is to pull the wire inside the release cable somehow...
do you know where i should be pulling on the hood latch to open it? My cable came off the latch. I was able to hook a piece of wire on to here and pulled hard but it did not open. I am wondering if there’s a different spot I need to pull on?

I circled the area that I thought would be the notch Im supposed to pull on but perhaps this is just the metal. The brown is the copper wire I was able to hook into.

totally wrong spot here. Hook onto where the grayplasyic is where your latch cable sits. And then pull hard! I got it open!

This is a great thread, as I am experiencing the same issue. Is there a mechanism inside the lower latch assembly that can be manipulated (whatever the metal ball is designed to trigger/pull on) with perhaps a 90° pick?

yes, compare the photos vs my borescope image. See where I circled below. I am using a 90 degree pick here in place of the ball. Hook onto this spot and pull hard and it will release.

You do not have enough posts yet for a PM.
