Used Purchase Inquiry

Hey guys, wanted to ask your opinion on a used panny purchase. I was wondering if it's worth my while to purchase a pre facelifted Gen 1 highly optioned, higher spec (4s or Turbo) or a more trouble free, fresher post facelifted (2013+: 4 or S) Gen 1 with less options? Also what third party warranty is German friendly? I heard great things about the Fidelity Platinum Warranty. Any info is greatly appreciated!

That's a hard question to answer from afar. A lot depends on your financial situation, your ability to wrench the car yourself, then on your own preferences for the extra options. And complicating the matter is the fact that a specific older model may actually be more trouble free than a specific newer model.

As far as warranties, I have regularly read in car forums that 3rd party warranties obtained through a local credit union are usually the best option.

My vote is to go with newer. Better sorted out (issues) IMO.
Get to a 15 or 16 and maybe a CPO warranty.
