Silver Trim Repair on Sport Wheels

When I purchased my car there was some light curb rash on the silver trim on my "Sport" wheels (shown in pics). Does anyone know the best way to repair it? Does Porsche or someone else sell that vinyl? The silver appears to just be vinyl rather than painted on
.

It is likely a clear-coat on the silver lip of the wheel and not vinyl? Try to clean it with a polish first. If the curb rash is into the metal, there may be a place in your vicinity that will do wheel repairs. Auto body shops or local dealers may have a referral. If you are in southern Maine (?), there are places in the Boston area.

The silver looks to be a vinyl overlay that was applied by the manufacturer - it definetily doesn’t seem to be painted or with a clear coat on it. I do know most of the wheel refinishing/repair places in MA (I used to work in the auto industry) - but I don’t think they would repaint this - it really just needs new vinyl (but would have to match the other wheels).

If it is vinyl, it would survive mount/dismount of a tire? A separate part number does not appear to exist, if it is a vinyl strip...

you can diy this. do google search. you can sand off the damage, use filler to refill missing areas, sand down again to match shape of surface, then tape off the tire and other wheel places, use color as close matching as you can to lightly spray the repair spot. If done carefully, you wont even tell the difference yourself.

Or you can spend about 150-200 to get someone else to do this.
